Who Can be a Participants
Ability Outings Pittsburgh is designed to support individuals over the age of 18 with physical and intellectual disabilities. We are here to provide assistance in personal care, behavior management, basic medical needs, involvement in activities, and more.
Our goal is to provide access to outings for as many individuals as possible but in order to be eligible you must be medically stable and willing to remain in a small group in public.

Physical Disabilities
- Cerebral Palsy
- Spina Bifida
- TBI
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Epilepsy
- Etc
Intellectual Disabilites
- Autism
- Down Syndrome
- Fragile X Syndrome
- Prader-Willi Syndrome
- FASD
- Etc.
Sensory Impairment
- Deaf
- Blind
- Dual Sensory Impairment (deaf/blind)
Requirements for Participants
- Have a physical or intellectual disability
- 18 years old or older
- Medically Stable
- Willing to remain in a small group in public
- Can Follow Basic Instructions
Our goal is to support as many individuals as possible but these requirements are necessary due to the places being visited and to ensure the other travelers experiences are not impacted.

Pricing
Pricing is based on the activity. All activities included transportation (if in the main Pittsburgh Area) at this time we are unable to provide transportation to individuals in power wheelchairs (travelers can still attend but would need to have transportation), entrance fees, assistance from volunteers and staff.
We are working to connect with other businesses to get discounted pricing to ensure it is affordable for as many people as possible.
We also use donations to create scholarships so if pricing is a concern please reach out and we will do our best to make sure your traveler can still attend.
